About Us

PRESIDENT

Matthew is a husband and father of 5. He is a native Austinite and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, followed by medical school at the University of Texas in the Texas Medical Center, Houston, and residency and fellowship in dermatology and dermatologic surgery at the University of Michigan. He currently practices Mohs surgery in the Austin area. He and his family are members of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Leorah is a practicing neurologist specializing in caring for patients with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica and other neuroinflammatory conditions of the central nervous system. She earned both her medical degree and doctorate from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France. She completed a residency in neurology at Assistance Publique - Hopitaux de Paris in France and a fellowship focused on the diagnosis, management and treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroimmunological disorders at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Hôpital La Pitié Salpêtrière in Paris, France. Leorah is a recent convert to Catholicism and she and her family are parishioners at St Theresa Catholic Church in Austin.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

Bobby is a practicing cardiac electrophysiologist at Ascension Texas Cardiovascular/ UT Dell Medical Center. He went to medical school at University of Texas Houston / McGovern Medical School. He then pursued Internal medicine training at Southwestern Medical School and Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology training at Washington University / BJC in St Louis, MO. He and his family are currently members of the St Theresa Catholic Church in Austin. He enjoys reading about Early Church History, Ignatian Spirituality and St Josemaria Escriva's work on Ordinary Life Sanctification

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Faith grew up in Dallas and studied neuroscience at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Afterwards, she earned her Doctorate of Medicine and Master’s in Public Health while at Dell Medical School in Austin, TX. She is now an emergency medicine resident in Austin and attends the Cathedral of St. Mary, where she is involved in young adult ministry. She also enjoys climbing in her free time.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Eileen received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed her pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital. She then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and works as an Associate Professor at UT Dell Medical School/Dell Children's Medical Center as a fetal cardiologist and leads the IMPACT program caring for high-complexity cardiac infants. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, four energetic boys, two dogs, two bunnies and several fish. She is a member of St. Theresa parish and is passionate about engaging in an active Catholic faith life and growing in faith with others.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

After receiving his M.D. from Northwestern University, Stuart completed Urology residency at UCSF and then an Endourology / Laparoscopy Fellowship with Ralph Clayman. He joined the University of Michigan in 1996, and over the ensuing 20 years, he served as the Director of the Division of Endourology, the Director of the Endourology / Laparoscopy Fellowship, and the Associate Urology Department Chair for Surgical Services. In 2016 he joined the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School of the University of Texas at Austin, where he serves as the Associate Chair for Clinical Integration and Operations, Executive Associate Chair, and Chief of the Division of Surgical Specialties. He is the proud father of 6 adult children, and he and his wife Jennifer are members of the St Mary Cathedral Parish. Stuart is also an active supporter of the University Catholic Center at UT.

SPIRITUAL ADVISOR

Fr. Greg grew up in Allen, Texas, and heard his vocation to the priesthood at the age of 14 when attending a week of summer camp at the Pines Catholic Camp. Before entering seminary, he graduated from Texas A&M in 2009 with a B.A. in English. Fr. Greg attended seminary at St. Joseph Seminary College in Louisiana and the North American College in Rome, and he was ordained to the priesthood on July 9, 2016. Since being ordained, Fr. Greg has finished a Licentiate in moral theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum), served as associate pastor of San Jose in Austin and St. Mary’s in College Station, and now serves as the vocation director of the Diocese of Austin.

CHAPLAIN

Fr. Frank Zlotkowski, CSC has served as Chaplain for the Catholic Healthcare Guild for over 9 years. Fr. Frank grew up in CT with four sisters and a brother. His undergraduate work was in Mathematics and Physics, which he later taught at Notre Dame High School in Bridgeport. He joined the Congregation of Holy Cross (St Edward's University in Austin) in 1964 and was ordained a priest in 1976. In 2004, he came to Austin to serve as a staff Priest Chaplain for the Ascension Seton Hospitals in Austin. He enjoys hiking, theatre and cooking — especially his sourdough bread.
